<p>On Wednesday, during a pretty news-filled day already, the American Hockey League announced the rosters for its upcoming 2025 AHL All-Star Classic. Representing the Calgary Wranglers at the event will be goaltender Devin Cooley and forward Rory Kerins.</p>

<p>Cooley, 27, is in his first year with the Flames organization after signing a two-year deal as a free agent. He&#8217;s absolutely shined with the Wranglers – he&#8217;s openly praised goaltending coach Mackenzie Skapski for his suggested tweaks – and he&#8217;s among the AHL league leaders in basically every goaltending category. Through 24 games with the Wranglers, Cooley is 17-6-0 with a 1.99 goals against average, .937 save percentage and three shutouts.</p>
<p>Kerins, 22, is in the third year of his entry level contract with the Flames. He was drafted by the club in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Draft and struggled to find a niche in his first two seasons as a pro. But he&#8217;s absolutely clicked this season, playing on the Wranglers top line between some really smart two-way forwards in Jakob Pelletier, William Strömgren and veteran Dryden Hunt. But Kerins has been full marks, making great plays with the puck and helping drive the Wranglers&#8217; offence this season. Through 34 games, he has 21 goals and 13 assists for 34 points. If we&#8217;re being honest, Kerins has gone from someone with an unclear pro future to someone who might be the Flames&#8217; next call-up to the NHL – his season has been that good.</p>
<p>Cooley and Kerins will be joined by the Wranglers head coach, whoever it is at the time. Trent Cull is the team&#8217;s usual head coach, but he&#8217;s with the Flames on an interim basis filling in for assistant coach Brad Larsen, and Wranglers assistant coach Joe Cirella is serving as their interim head coach in Cull&#8217;s place. Odds are that Cirella will be representing the Wranglers at All-Star weekend, but we&#8217;ll see what unfolds.</p>
